HR Assistant

DSG is hiring! We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in human resources, possess relevant qualifications, with knowledge and experience in payroll processes and recruitment. Solid knowledge of South African labour laws, including the BCEA, LRA, EEA, is essential.


  • HR qualification essential
  • Previous experience in payroll administration
  • Previous experience in recruitment
  • Understanding of South African labour laws, particularly BCEA, LRA, EEA
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • Assist in the administration of HR processes and procedures
  • Manage payroll tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Stay updated on changes in labour laws
  • Provide support in recruitment processes
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Handle HR-related queries and concerns


  • Proficient in payroll software and systems
  • Strong analytical skills for accurate data processing
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in tasks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of employee benefits and leave management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in HR and payroll
